Today was a very hectic day. We arrived at Istanbul at 7 in the morning. It was a 5-6 hour flight from Karachi, Pakistan. And since it was the middle of the night, we couldn’t even get any sleep. πŸ˜•πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“

This is the first time we flew Turkish Airlines, we always fly Emirates. But Dad wanted a direct flight to Turkey, and Emirates stops at Dubai for a few hours. (Dad hates connecting flights) And yeah, the people were nice and kind. The breakfast was also good. But the main problem was the seats. πŸ˜• They were not at all made for tall people like my dad and brother and me. Very uncomfortable! My feet hurt afterwards. πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”

Anyway. So, we landed around 7 am and after getting our luggage (7 suitcases and one carry-on), Dad realized his phone was missing. Β We retraced our steps, and the security guard told us to go to the Lost and Found, which was at the other end of the airport. First, Dad went with my brother while we waited. But they came back with nothing. Said the guy at the Lost and Found was very rude and unhelpful. That didn’t sit well with me and Mom. We decided to head down to the Lost and Found. We both were quite angry and frustrated because we were tired and sleep deprived and cranky. In the end, they miraculously found Dad’s phone. πŸ˜‘πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’

After that, we called a car from our hotel and by the time we arrived, it was 12.30 pm. Since my family is big, and we needed 3 rooms, we couldn’t get them on the same floor. Dad insisted, and after making us wait 3 whole hours, we got the rooms on the same floor.

The hotel is lovely and the view is breathtaking. We could see the Bosphorous Bridge from our hotel lobby. Very beautiful! πŸ˜πŸ’•

As soon as we got settled in our rooms, all of us went straight to bed. As much as we wanted to go out for sightseeing, we couldn’t as we were so tired. We slept for 5 hours, and afterwards, had dinner at a fancy Turkish restaurant at Raffles City Mall.

Love the Art Direction here:Β

Now I’m going to bed. It’s after 1 am and Mom will wake me up early for breakfast. Long day ahead. 😌
