What to do?

So I got a call from the tech support guys at the Apple store here this morning. It seems my laptop has officially died. Since the warranty has expired, they can’t replace it with a new one. But they advised me to go for a new MacBook because that would cost the same as fixing my old one. And if I buy a new laptop, they’ll transfer all my stuff free of charge.

I’m in a dilemma here. So confused. Should I buy a new laptop?
